How to choose a matcha set

Frequently asked questions

Does every set include a sieve?

Most of our sets include a sieve. The four-piece sets contain a bowl, whisk, scoop and whisk holder, without a sieve.

Are a whisk holder and a scoop rest the same thing?

No. A whisk holder supports the whisk; a scoop rest is a separate place to set down the scoop. Some sets include both.

Will my set look exactly like the photos?

Kiln glazes and painted motifs vary slightly from piece to piece, so your set can differ a little from the photos. The product pages say where this applies.

How should I care for the tools?

Follow the care instructions on the product page. Hand-wash gently, avoid prolonged soaking of bamboo tools and let every piece dry thoroughly before storing.
